Eyeliner Tattoo Pre-Care

To ensure the best results and minimise any risks, it’s essential to follow these pre-care guidelines before your eyeliner tattoo appointment:

Avoid Eye Makeup: Refrain from wearing any eye makeup, such as eyeliner, mascara, or eyeshadow, for at least 24 hours before your appointment. This will ensure your eyelids are clean and free from any residual products.

Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses, please remove them before your appointment. It’s advisable to wear glasses on the day of the procedure and avoid contact lenses for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

Do Not Tint Lashes: Avoid tinting or curling your eyelashes for at least 48 hours before the procedure. This can affect the pigment’s ability to adhere to the skin and may cause irritation.

Avoid Blood Thinners: For at least 48 hours before your appointment, avoid consuming alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen, or any blood-thinning medication (unless prescribed by a doctor). These substances can thin your blood and increase the risk of bleeding, leading to poor pigment retention.

Eye Surgery: If you have had any form of eye surgery (such as LASIK, cataract surgery, or blepharoplasty) within the past six months, it’s crucial to avoid having an eyeliner tattoo until this period has passed. This allows your eyes sufficient time to heal and reduces the risk of complications.

Allergy Test: If you have a history of skin sensitivities or allergic reactions, it is recommended that you arrange a patch test at least 24-48 hours prior to the appointment. This will help to ensure that you won’t have an adverse reaction to the pigments or anaesthetics used.

Hydrate: Keeping yourself hydrated will help with the healing process, so make sure to drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Sunburnt or overly tanned skin can affect the results, so avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least a week before the procedure.

Eyelash Extensions: If you have eyelash extensions, they must be removed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Leaving them on can interfere with the procedure and increase the risk of infection or irritation.

Stay Healthy: It’s best to reschedule your appointment if you’re feeling unwell or have any skin conditions such as cold sores, eczema, or conjunctivitis near the treatment area.

By following these simple guidelines, you’ll help ensure a smooth procedure and achieve the best possible results from your eyeliner tattoo

Eyeliner Tattoo After-Care

To ensure optimal healing and the best results from your eyeliner and eyelash enhancement treatment, please follow these important guidelines:

  • Avoid hot, steamy showers for 3-5 days.
  • Refrain from excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
  • Avoid heavy sweating (e.g., gym) during the initial healing phase.
  • Do not wash the area while it is healing.
  • Apply the provided A&D ointment in a thin layer using a cotton bud, keeping the area moist for 5-7 days; apply 3 to 4 times a day.
  • If the area feels itchy, do not scratch.
  • Avoid all eye makeup for 10 days.
  • Do not pick at any scabs; this can lead to scarring and pigment loss.
  • Allow the skin to heal naturally.
  • Avoid facials, fillers, and Botox for 1 month.
  • Protect your eyes with sunglasses during holidays or hot weather.

Schedule a touch-up appointment 4 to 6 weeks after your treatment.
